About this file

This document is an Amendment 01 to a federal solicitation for Jersey Barriers issued by the Department of the Air Force's 2d Contracting Squadron at Barksdale Air Force Base. The amendment provides a questions and answers document addressing five key vendor inquiries, including barrier condition requirements, quote submission process, connection style acceptability, offloading responsibilities, and project background. The solicitation seeks fifty 10-foot concrete Jersey Barriers in dove gray with straight ends, set aside exclusively for small businesses with a 500-employee size standard under NAICS code 327390.

The solicitation requires barriers that meet ASTM C33 and ASTM C150 aggregate standards and include forklift slots. Vendors must submit their quotes by Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 1:30 PM CDT. The barriers must be in new or "manufactured but undeployed" condition, and vendors are responsible for offloading the barriers at the delivery destination. The point of contact is 2d Lt Caleb Schuelke, Contract Specialist, who can be reached at (318) 456-3612 or caleb.schuelke.1@us.af.mil, with the solicitation being a brand-new project for the 2d Security Forces Squadron at Barksdale Air Force Base.
