FIRE TRAINING FACILITY MAINTENANCE
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1. Are there any environmental concerns for the pond?
Answer - There are currently no environmental concerns with the pond. The liner is intact and function properly.
2. Can the water be discharged into the grass area surrounding the pond?
Answer - All water from within the pond and burn area is designed to be in a “closed system.” Water from the pond or burn area shall not be discharged into the grass.
3. Can the silt collected from the bottom of the pond be placed outside the pond or is it required to haul the silt away?
Answer - Any silt collected from within the pond would be required to be hauled away.
