About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a Gym Floor Resurfacing project, Solicitation FA448425Q0040, dated 10 September 2025. The Q&A provides critical details about the floor renovation for two gymnasium spaces, including specific requirements for wood floor repair, court line painting, and refinishing. Key project specifications include using Clear 3M Epoxy for minor wood plank repairs, applying oil-based finish in 2 coats, and sanding and relining the gymnasiums and racquetball courts.
The project involves two separate gym spaces: Gym #1 will maintain existing basketball and volleyball courts while adding two HAMR shuttle run courts, and Gym #2 will maintain existing basketball and volleyball courts while adding two HAMR shuttle run courts and two pickleball courts. Contractors are permitted to work on both courts simultaneously, with specific instructions such as not refinishing under bleachers, removing tape and residue, and painting 2 shuttle run lines per court (20 meters apart). The solicitation is issued by NEF (likely a federal agency) and seeks comprehensive floor resurfacing services.
