About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a Fire Alarm Maintenance and Replacement Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract (Solicitation No. FA446025Q0020) for Little Rock Air Force Base. The solicitation seeks a single service provider to perform fire alarm repair and replacement services across multiple facilities at the base, with the contract being a new requirement. The base was originally constructed in 1955 and has facilities that have been renovated over time, with utility power from Entergy.
Key contract details include a firm-fixed price structure with no progress payments allowed, and no funds currently appropriated. The scope covers fire alarm and mass notification systems, explicitly excluding intrusion detection systems, cameras, and cipher locks. Contractors must complete a Pricing Schedule and adhere to specific work hours (7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday), with potential after-hours access considered on a case-by-case basis. Wiring must comply with NFPA and UFC requirements, and plenum-rated wire is acceptable. Drawings for specific work will be provided with future work orders, and the base emphasizes that this is not a single-facility contract but an IDIQ for base-wide fire alarm system services.
