Amendment 1 - Remediate Fan Coils LRAFB Questions & Answers

FA446021Q0027

16 August 2021 8:00 AM CST

1. Q: What are the bonding specifications for this project?

A: Bonds are not required for this project.

2. Q: How should the bid package be submitted, mail, email, or both? If mail, please provide the mailing address and the “attention to” for this project. If by email, please provide all the email address required for this project submission.

A: All bid packages must be submitted to the identified POCs in electronic, e-mail format to both steffanie.david.1@us.af.mil and jash_mikyle.ancheta@us.af.mil.

3. Q: What is all included in the bid package to be considered for the award?

A: FAR 52.212-1 Instruction to Offerors Addendum

a) Complete the unit price and extended price (under "Supplies or Services and Prices/Cost"), complete blocks 12 and 17a, and complete/sign blocks 30a, 30b, and 30c.

b) Review ENTIRE solicitation and fill in all required provisions and clauses.

c) All vendors must have an active registration in SAM at time of quote submission. If the annual certification has been completed in the System for Award Management (SAM), FAR 52.212-3 does not need to be completed.

4. Will we need to test in and test out units by checking CFM before and after?

A: Last contractor I believe used a handheld airflow meter – test before and after to measure the effectiveness of the cleaning – does not have to be a professional Air Balance

5. Do we need to log maintenance on each piece of equipment?

A: Yes – need to have a detailed list for each unit – if you are unable to test something because a fan does not work write it up as a bad fan – Bldg 772 actuators can tested with T-Stat to drive both valves and facility manager has a computer to do that as well. Bldg 744 & 842 you will have to use the T-stat to drive (744&842 have many issues).

Anything you find bad write up – motors, actuators, isolation valves (can’t clean strainer if all isolation valves fail-some units have two isolation valves), T-stats.
