DAVID GRANT MEDICAL CENTER (DGMC) PERFUSIONIST

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Q1: Are the positions currently filled (FTEs & PRNs):

A1: Yes

Q2: Are there any page limitations besides the 1 page for Past Performance?

A2: No paper limitations

Q3: Are there any formatting requirements to the solicitation submittal?

A3: Refer to FAR 52.212-1 in the solicitation

Q4: When is the Government expect to release a full RFP?

A4: The full solicitation was posted on beta.sam.gov on 10 Feb 2020

Q5: PWS Section 2.3 & 2.4- Does the offeror need to submit a recruitment and management plan with proposal or after receipt of award?

A5: Refer to Addendum FAR 52.212-1 in the solicitation.

Q6: What is the initial placement date?

A6: Refer to the “Deliveries or Performance” listed in the solicitation

Q7: Being that the services are 24/7, and 2 FTEs with back-up, how many Perfusionist will the Government credential?

A7: This is a performance based contract. Contractor will decide on the number of personal required to perform the services stated in the PWS.

Q8: Is this personal service contract or non-personal service contract?

A8: Non-personal service

Q9: On page 19 on PWS it says Schedule can be up to 5/10 hour days per week- can you please clarify working hours for 2 FTE perfusionist?

A9: Perfusionist are expected to be on work approximately 5-10 hour days per week without a specific schedule. Surgeons are appointed to contact perfusionists when they are needed.

Q10: Perfusionists may work up to 10 - 15 days of call from home a month and must be able to be on site within 30 minutes- Can you please clarify on- call hours and if that needs to be billed separately?

A10: On-call hours are 24 hours a day. Perfusionist are required to report within 30 mins or provide advice if needed. There may be periods (10-15 days) that David Grant does not have a scheduled appointment; however, this will not adjust the monthly pay. Perfusionist will be paid a standard monthly rate no matter how many hours physically onsite or on-call.

Q11: Is there any incumbent contractor there Or this is new requirement? If there is an incumbent, can you please share their information?

A11: The requirement is a follow on contract from FA4427-15-C-0013. Information regarding this contract can be found on FPDS.gov.

Q12: Do they have to have California license or any state license accepted?

A12: Perfusionist will be certified or be Certification Eligible by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. This is the US standard recognized credential for education and certification. Since there is no license in the state of California for perfusionists a state license will not apply for this requirement.
