Statement of Work (SOW) for

60th MDSS/SGSLB-2

PICC Line Placement System

Description: 60 IPTS/SGIC – Critical Care Flight requires an integrated system that would allow bedside Peripheral Inserted Central Catheters (PICC) line placement.

Currently, PICC lines can only be placed on stable patients at the Interventional Radiology (IR) suite, on a scheduled time. Due to the amount of time, manpower & workload it takes to transport and care for an unstable patient from ICU to IR, the IR department is unable to support this task at this time.

Specifications/Salient Characteristics: The proposed PICC line placement system must meet the following minimum specifications:

Allow for bedside PICC placement for stable or unstable patients, by a single provider.

Have the following three completely integrated technologies: Ultrasound, Tip Tracking/Navigation, and Confirmation with P-Wave Identification.

Eliminate confirmatory Chest X-Ray (CXR) Eliminate unwanted lengthy radiation exposure to the patient, from fluoroscopy Reduce time wasted for tip confirmation via alternative methods

Point of Contact: Will be provided after Contract Award.

Special Requirements: N/A.

Qualifications/Certifications: N/A.
