INTERNET ACCESS

NAVCON BRIG

JOINT BASE CHARLESTON – WEAPON STATION

1. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, transportaion, supervision, and management to provide internet access to Building 3107, Naval Consolidated Brig (NAVCONBRIG) at Joint Base Charleston – Weapon Station (JB CHS-WS). The internet access delivery point is located between 3rd Street and 6th Street on JB CHS-WS. The internet service line will enter the building from the 6th Street side of the building. This requirement does not include internest service, only the cost to provide internet access at the requested delivery point.

2. Contractor provided internet access must provide/support the following;

a. One Dedicated Line - Government

b. One Terminal – Commercial third party use to support job resume building and application submission

c. 20 PC Terminal Group – Commercial third party use to support educational testing

d. 6 Terminal Group – Commercial third party use to provide “skype” type video phone communication

e. 6 Terminal Group – Commercial third party use to provide non-government email

f. 6 Terminal Group – Commercial third party use to provide non-government download of data i.e. music and games.

3. Internet access connection shall be from the contractor’s point of origin to building 3107, NAVCONBRIG communications room. This may be accomplished utilizing existing communication lines or may be accomplished by installation of a new communication line.

4. Contractors shall be advised, any new communication line installation will require crossing existing railroad tracks. All easements and right-of-ways outside of JB CHS-WS shall be the responsibility of the contractor. The government shall grant easement for JB CHS-WS prior to installation.

5. Contractor’s shall gain access to the building through existing infrastructure. A building access point is approximately 15-20 feet east of NAVCONBRIG’s main entrance (see attachment one). From the access point, contractors should estimate no less than 100 feet of cable to reach the NAVCONBRIG communications room. Contractors shall connect to contractor provided equipment which shall provide future service for items 1-6 above.

6. As shown above, the requested internet access must support a maximum of six (6) separate accounts. Contractors are to provide a minimum bandwidth of no less than 24-25 Mbps.
