About this file

This is a Questions & Answers document for a federal contract solicitation involving the procurement of a saw with connecting rollers for the Metals Technology section at Hurlburt Field, FL.

The document clarifies four key contractual matters: (1) delivery will occur at Hurlburt Field, FL 32544, with the exact location to be disclosed to the awardee post-award; (2) the government will be responsible for off-loading the machine upon arrival, eliminating contractor obligation for rigging services; (3) an IUID Tag is not required for this purchase; and (4) the end user requires both a 3.3-foot (1000mm) left side connecting roller and a 3.3-foot (1000mm) right side connecting roller as mandatory options, each with 24.4-inch width and 572 lbs/ft load capacity for angle cutting and RDT connection. The solicitation uses firm fixed pricing, making the clarification of delivery location and equipment specifications critical to ensure bidders do not submit contingent pricing based on undefined variables.

Questions & Answers

Question 1: Please confirm Full shipping address. On page 2 of the solicitation the address is Hurlburt filed, FL 32544 with the note that exact location will be provided at award. Due to the fact that pricing for all solicitations are firm fixed price and any changes in delivery location may result in price changes. Please confirm that Hurlbert Field, FL 32544 will be the final destination and there will not be a change.

Answer: Hurlburt Field, FL is the destination. Exact delivery location will be disclosed to the Awardee.

Question 2: Who is responsible for off-loading of the machine once it arrives to the destination? Typically, shipping is door to door, no offloading. If offloading is required there will need to be a rigger. If a rigger is required, more questions to follow.

Answer: The government will handle offloading at delivery.

Question 3: Will this purchase require an IUID Tag?

Answer: No

• 3.3ft (1000mm) Right side connecting roller which provides the shifting of 2 rollers for angle cutting and connection two the RDT. Rollers are 24.4" wide with a load capacity of 572lbs/ft
