About this file

This document contains questions and answers related to a federal contract opportunity for deployment gear. The key details are:

The contract opportunity is a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for deployment gear, solicited as restricted to Small Businesses only. The contracting agency is the Department of the Air Force Special Operations Command. The RFQ and Parts List provide the complete details on the required items, which include various tactical and medical gear such as micro trauma kits, rucksacks, luggage, and holsters. The questions cover clarifications on specific product options, configurations, and quantities requested. The responses highlight the end user's preferences, such as the desired belt IFAK kit, non-jump certified rucksacks, Pelican case with divider system, and advanced medical supplies. Additionally, the questions address lead time concerns and an alternate pouch recommendation. This document does not contain the full Performance Work Statement or Statement of Objectives, but rather focuses on addressing specific product-related questions and confirming requirements.

Requirement Questions and Answers.

Answers are highlighted in red.

1. For item #002 (Micro Trauma Kit from Blue Force Gear), we need to confirm that the end user wants the Belt IFAK, not the Ankle IFAK, because both items are specified on the same line. We assume it's the Belt IFAK, but we have to ask. Also, can the end user confirm which medical supplies ("Essential," "Pro," or "Advanced") that they want the kits to contain? Belt kit with the Advanced option.

2. For item #26 and 27 (Mystery Ranch Mountain Rucksack), we want to ensure that the end user definitely wants the "non-Jump Certified" version. The manufacturer also makes a Jump Certified version, and we had assumed that the end user would want that one -- but, it's a lot more expensive, so we would like to confirm before quoting either one. Non-jump certified.

3. For Item #052, the requested product is the "Pelican 1650 Case (No Foam)" but the part number provided (1650-020-110) goes to the Pelican 1650 WITH foam. Can the end user confirm which version they'd like? Without foam/with divider

4. Civilian Luggage Line (Excel Doc #56):

1. The quantity requests for a total of 50 but the color breakdown only adds up to 25 sets. Do they only need 25 sets? If not, what would the color breakdown be for the remaining 25? Belt kit with the Advanced option.

5. For the Ankle IFAK (SOF Tourniquet) there are four options: No contents, Essentials, Pro and Advanced supplies. Which option is requested? Advanced.

6. For the Crye Precision JPC, PN: BLC042 there are three color options: Multicam, Coyote, or ranger green. Which color is requested. Multicam.

7. For the Ops Core/Team Wendy Ballistic Helmet, PN: A14570-01G0101 there are three options: Vented LUX liner with occ dial, worm dial, or H-nape. Which configuration is requested? Vented LUX liner with occ dial

8. For the Rifle Magazine Taco Pouch, PN: 11TA00MC There are two options Molle or Belt Attachment Style. Which configuration is requested? Molle

9. For the Safariland Holster Glock, PN: 6378-283-762 the options chosen were for the Glock 19 model Gen3-4. in the Coyote Brown color, without optics. If possible need confirmation on the glock model and if there will be optics on the weapon. Glock 19 without optics

10. For the Concealed Pistol Holster w/extra mag slot, (no PN given). The options chosen were in reflection of the previous comment, and so the black color option with no red dot/optic, made for the Glock 19 is the configuration I selected. Glock 19 without optics

11. For the Pelican 1650 case (No Foam), PN: 1650-020-110. There is not expressly an option for no foam, the options are Foam or the TrekPak Divider System. If possible please confirm whether the divider system is what is being requested or an empty pelican case as this will dictate my next steps with this product. Divider system (see #3)

12. Blue Force Gear, Micro Trauma Kit, Belt Mount in Coyote. Did you want that Empty, Essential Fill, Pro or Advanced. See specs below for each option. Advanced

13. Tactical Tailor, Fight Light PRC-152 Pouch has a 22-24 week lead time. I did find the below option from Blue Force Gear that has a 90 day lead time. Would you prefer this option instead?

Due to new information, we would like to request that this (SPS067 5.56/7.62/MBITR POUCH) in the multicam color be the pouch we purchase due to the variability of the radios and equipment we would carry.

14. NAR OCHO IFAK has the part number for the basic kit but you have advanced kit in your description. Which option would you like? Advanced.

15. Rockland Melbourne Hardside Expandable Spinner Luggage (3pc). You have 10-Black, 5-Charcoal/Orange, 5-Navy/Yellow and 5-Silver but you have a total of 50 requested. What colors/quantities for the other 25? Double the number of each (see #4).

16. Resqme car escape tool, are you open to any other color than black? Such as bright yellow?

Bright color works such as yellow works.
