About this file
This document is a Memorandum detailing the requirements for Aeronautical Charts needed by the 618th Air Operations Center (AOC) of the Department of the Air Force's Air Mobility Command.
The key requirements are for the ability to display georeferenced High Enroute IFR, Low Enroute IFR and Sectional VFR charts as a background on the AOC's mapping system. This allows Flight Managers and Flight Planners to visualize the airways and navigational fixes for flight plans, in order to verify routing, avoid hazardous weather, and comply with clearances and airspace limitations. This supports all MAF aircraft tasked to the 618 AOC, with 153 Flight Managers and 45 Flight Planners worldwide. The AOC requires a POC email address to report any discrepancies or missing data in the products received. This requirement is related to Solicitation FA440724Q0007 for Worldwide Aeronautical Maps, issued by the Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command.

DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE
618TH AIR OPERATIONS CENTER
(TANKER AIRLIFT CONTROL CENTER)
07 Jun 2024
MEMORANDUM FOR: 375 CONS/CONTRACTING SQUADRON
FROM: 618 ACOM/SCM
SUBJECT: Requirements for Aeronautical Charts
1. 618 Air Operations Center (AOC) Flight Management (MODM) and Flight Plans (MODZF) both need the ability to display georeferenced High Enroute IFR, Low Enroute IFR and Sectional VFR charts directly as an IMR map background onto which we can display MAFPS-generated routes of flight, TACC Weather, etc. This allows Flight Managers and Flight Planners to visualize the airways and navigational fixes a given flight plan is routed. In order to verify the the route corresponds to an appropriate geographic routing, is routed to avoid forecasted areas of hazardous weather,, and complies with applicable diplomatic clearances and sirspace limitations, without having to manually transfer the route of flight from MAFPS into a separate system to visualize those routings.
2. This requirement supports all MAF aircraft that are task to the 618 AOC for their missions and 153 Flight Managers and 45 Flight Planners worldwide that are assigned to AMC. If this requirement is not met then we will have to manually transfer the route of flight from MAFPS into a separate system to visualize those routings.
3. The AOC will require a POC email address to report any discrepancies or missing data in the products received for the duration of the contract.
