CHIROPRACTIC TECHNICIANS

Question 1. Are there incumbents in this position. If so, how long is their current contract?

Answer: This is a New Requirement Question 2. In the solicitation document, in the Wage Determinations section, there is no listing for a Chiropractic Technician. Can you let me know what Wage Determination code applies in this case - and if there is an incumbent, what rates the technician currently earns.

Answer: Any class of service employee not listed in the wage determination must be classified by the contractor to provide a reasonable relationship (i.e. appropriate level of skill comparison) between the unlisted classifications and the classifications listed in the wage determination.

Question 3. Are resumes/candidate profiles required upon submittal?

Answer: No

Question 4. PWS paragraph 1.4.3.2 states the following:

1.4.3.2.1. Must be certified as a Chiropractic Certification Technician and be accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education

In Texas, there isn't a certification for a Chiropractic Assistant. Does the above qualification apply to this solicitation? We know there are other states that require a certification or license, but not in Texas. Please clarify this requirement.

Answer: Right now, I am seeking further clarification on this but research has stated that Chiropractor Technicians are not certified but rather the actual Chiropractor is.

Question 5. Please clarify the Hours of Performance for the Chiropractic Technician. Paragraph 1.4.2. indicates the normal duty hours are between 0700 and 1700. However, it does not indicate if services are required on weekends and on holidays.

Answer: Historically, it is based on a 40 hour work week, Monday through Friday.

Question 6. If we are submitting our proposal via e-mail, do you need two copies of it or does that only apply if we submit via U.S. Mail?

Answer: Only one copy is required through email, two copies through US Mail.
