Requests for Information on the Sam.gov notice FA302224Q0341, Active Vehicle Barrier Maintenance Columbus AFB.

Q1. Please provide the base year and option years period of performance for

FA302224Q0341.

A1. FY25 thru FY29

Q2. If awarded a contract, will long term passes be issued to the technicians? If so, how long are the passes valid, one (1) year?

A2. Passes will be issued (1) year at a time

Q3. ATT 1 - Performance Work Statement, Page 6, Section 1.3.1 Preventive Maintenance.

Please forward equipment list to be included in each quarterly inspection. (Gate name, AVB type, power, manufacturer, model, year, AVB quantity, power unit quantity)

A3. The wedge barriers are Delta Scientific DSC2000 Inbound lane at east gate has 2 sets of 3 wedge plates controlled by an HPU installed 2009 Outbound lane at east gate has 2 sets of 3 wedge plates controlled by an HPU installed 2009 The south gate has 4 sets of 3 wedge plates controlled by an HPU and 1 set of 4 wedge plates controlled by HPU installed 2009

The bollards are Delta Scientific DSC 701M. there are (47) of them base wide.

Q4. What is the date of the last preventive maintenance (PM) service? What type of service was it (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual)? If not an annual PM, when was the last annual PM conducted for scheduling purposes?

A4. PM’s are set up on quarterly basis. The last one was completed on 4Aug24

Q5. ATT 1 - Performance Work Statement, Page 7, Section 1.3.1.6 Paint/Corrosion Control.

Please confirm an equivalent brand due to Grip-Tite paint is no longer manufactured.

A5. We used Rustoleum Alkyd

Q6. ATT 1 - Performance Work Statement, Page 16, Section 8.1.1 Emergency and Routine Service Calls.

Please provide the quantity of Emergency and Routine Service Calls to be priced per contract year.

A6. Preventive Maintenance and Cleaning -Quarterly Routine Service Calls- 2 Emergency Service Calls- 4

Q7. Is the contractor required to be certified by the AVB manufacturer?

A7. According to the PWS section 3.3 The Barrier Technicians performing the work must be trained on the specific barrier(s) at the military base and have no less than one (1) year minimum of experience inspecting and maintaining barriers, barrier control systems, and traffic control systems.

Q8. While reviewing the PWS for quarterly preventative maintenance, I may have failed to see an equipment/barrier list for all barriers that are to be covered under this contract but can you confirm what the make, model, and quantities are for this project? Any info you can provide on this would be very helpful and much appreciated.

A8.
