About this file

This document is a Statement of Objectives (SOO) for auditorium-style seating replacement by the 559th Flying Training Squadron at JBSA-Randolph.

The 559 FTS seeks to procure near-identical or similar replacement chairs with integrated swivel-style writing trays for its auditorium, which is used for large-format briefings by unit personnel and other JBSA-Randolph units for retirements, briefings, and training events. The current seating inventory is deteriorating, with many chairs exhibiting structural damage including fraying and separation of components. The government has identified a desired replacement model (Nova Armchair with tablet arm, referenced via National Business Furniture URL) to guide contractor selection. The contractor is responsible for providing all materials necessary for delivery, assembly, and installation of the chairs. Delivery and assembly must occur during normal duty hours (Monday-Friday, 0730-1630) at 559 FTS, 1451 5th Street West, Hangar 64, JBSA Randolph, Texas 78150. Site surveys are not required. The contractor should contact the 559 FTS Facility Manager, Mr. Marvin Strange, at 210-652-0559 or marvin.strange.1@us.af.mil to coordinate delivery and assembly activities. No security requirements or start-up meetings are mandated, though meetings may be arranged if needed.
