About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Solicitation FA301625Q0246, involving the removal and replacement of two prefabricated bridges at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA). The Q&A addresses specific details about the bridges, including their lengths (Site A: 85', Site B: 80'), and clarifies technical requirements such as the mandatory powder finish for the bridges. The government specifically noted that a bid bond is not required, as this is a firm-fixed price services contract.
The solicitation, issued by the Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command, seeks a contractor to replace two existing bridges: a Golf Cart Bridge at JBSA Lackland and a Pedestrian Bridge at JBSA Chapman Training Annex. The bridges must be structurally sound, prefabricated, and compliant with ADA requirements to safely accommodate pedestrians and golf carts. Vendors are required to review the Request for Quote (RFQ) and Statement of Work (SOW), complete the RFQ document, and submit via email by the specified deadline. The solicitation has undergone multiple amendments, including site visit information and question/answer additions.
