ADDENDUM TO FAR 52.212-2 EVALUATION PROCEDURES

Reference FAR 52.212-2, paragraph (a) is hereby tailored as follows:

(a) Best value determination will be based on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable approach.

The Government will award a single contract resulting from this RFQ to the responsible quoter whose quotes the lowest overall price, and the supplies are found technically acceptable in accordance with the evaluation criteria and salient characteristics.

1. Price. Since award will be based on initial responses, the Contractor is encouraged to quote its most advantageous pricing up front, to include discounts, in the initial response. Contractors are required to accurately complete the Schedule of Supplies (Reference Atch 3). Incomplete Schedule of Supplies or quotations could indicate lack of understanding of the requirement and may result in the entire quotation being determined unacceptable or eliminated from further consideration. The government will first rank quotations in order from lowest to highest total price (for all items).

2. Technical. The three (3) lowest priced quotations will then be evaluated to determine if they meet the salient characteristics, features and color. The government reserves the right to evaluate more than three (3) quotations, as deemed necessary, and will do so in order of the next lowest priced.
