11. Reference: Solicitation, PWS, page 5, section 1.2.16. Phase-Out and Phase-In. With the number of machines to be removed and installed during Phase-Out and Phase-In, a fairly large staging area is needed. Is there is a warehouse facility with a loading dock available for use by the contractor, and if not, will there be a secure staging area large enough to stage a couple of trailers for offloading and prepping machines?

The incoming contractor needs access to the staging area at least 2-3 business days before the start of the switch out of the machines due to the number of machines to be removed and installed during the Transition Period. This would allow the incoming contractor to get gate passes and some trucks in and some machines prepped for installation for the first day of the installation schedule. 14. The 30 lb. washer extractor units were not ordered in 2018 for the contract because the government did not meet proper drainage requirements. Hardmount washer extractors cannot use existing homestyle washer drains. Currently do the building(s) requiring this unit now have proper drainage requirements? Government Answer: No

15. Per manufacturer specifications and for warranty purposes, hardmount washer extractors are only allowed to be installed on first floors. Are all hardmount washer extractors included in the solicitation located on first floors only?

Dryer exhaust vents shall be firmly attached to prevent the ducting from coming loose. The contractor shall ensure flexible aluminum ducting is used for all other dryers. This paragraph is about the larger stack 30-lb tumble dryers we saw in BLDG No. 9110, BLDG RH&T. Will we, the contractors, be required to remove the existing rigid metal ducting and install new rigid metal ducting, or can we use the existing rigid metal ducting?
