STATEMENT OF WORK

FOR

REPLACEMENT OF POWERED SPEAKERS

ARNOLD HALL COMMUNITY CENTER

1. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT / GENERAL INFORMATION. The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary to remove existing speakers and replace speakers and add a power sequencer in ballroom, bldg #5506, Arnold Hall Community Center.

1.1. INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS. Ballroom is approximately 100’L X 75’W X 20’H. Contractor will remove existing speakers and replace with new speakers. Contractor will install a power sequencer in sound booth to power up and down speakers and existing mixing console.

• Remove and dispose of existing speakers on each side of stage. Existing speakers must be removed to a disposal area outside the physical boundaries of the installation.

• Furnish and install new active line array speakers (one on each side of stage) in Arnold Hall ballroom to use with existing sound equipment.

- Require installation of JBL VRX, RCF HDL, QSC KLA, or other Active Line Array speaker system compatible with existing sound equipment (Samson L2400 4BUS Mixing Console) to accurately cover a room that is 100’L x 75’W x 20’H for speech and music presentations.

• New speakers are to be suspended from the ceiling in the same area the present speakers are located. Signal/power cables will be hidden above ceiling

• A licensed rigger will be use to ensure safety. In place rigging can be used if it meets the requirements of the new speakers.

• Install a power sequencer to safely turn on/off speakers and mixing console with one switch. A licensed electrician will run power to the sequencer in the sound booth.

• Speakers will receive audio signals from existing mixing console in the booth on the side of the stage. New sound cables will be used to deliver signals to the new speakers from sound board.

• Speakers will be configured in a left/right stereo audio configuration.

• Speakers will be tuned with a digital signal processor.

• All cable runs will be continuous cables without splices.
