About this file
This Statement of Work outlines maintenance support requirements for ProSensing Stepped Frequency Microwave Radiometer (SFMR) units installed on WC-130J aircraft operated by the 53d Weather Reconnaissance Squadron at Keesler AFB.
The contractor must provide inspection, calculation, calibration, and technical support for the SFMR units, including performing calibration constant calculations within a 2-day turnaround period after receiving flight data. Key requirements include providing diagnostic support via online or telephone for evaluating SFMR radiometer and processor unit performance, analyzing data records containing anomalies, conducting in-field calibration, and implementing software updates as needed. The contractor must continue calculating constants from calibration flight data as they have done for the past 5 years, suggesting this may be a follow-on contract to an incumbent provider.

Statement of Work ProSensing Maintenance Support
53d Weather Reconnaissance Squadron 29 October 2024
1.0. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE. 53d Weather Reconnaissance Squadron (53d WRS) requires that the Contractor shall provide inspection, calculation, calibration, and technical and operational support for the ProSensing Stepped Frequency Microwave Radiometer (SFMR) units installed on the WC-130J aircraft operated by the 53d WRS. The Contractor shall continue to calculate these constants when provided the data from our calibration flights, as they have over the past 5 years. Contractor shall provide analysis of SFMR data records collected by SFMR units containing anomalies that raise concern about performance and/or functionality of SFMR units and evaluate SFMR unit's performance to diagnose potential problems.
2.0. SYSTEMS. The Contractor shall provide periodic inspection, in-field calibration, and ongoing technical and operational support to maintain its reliability and accuracy.
2.1. Stepped Frequency Microwave Radiometer.
2.1.1. The Contractor shall perform calibration constant calculations upon receiving data from the 53 WRS obtained on SFMR calibration flights with a two (2) day turnaround of results.
2.1.2. The Contractor shall provide diagnostic support either on-line or via telephone support in evaluation of SFMR radiometer and processor unit performance and functionality. All SFMR units operated by the 53 WRS at Keesler AFB are included in this contract.
2.1.3. The Contractor shall provide analysis of SFMR data records collected by SFMR units containing anomalies that raise concern about performance and/or functionality of the SFMR.
2.1.4. The Contractor shall provide the required in-field calibration and software update services resulting from the diagnostic analysis.
