About this file
This document contains questions and answers (Q&A) for the JB Andrews 2025 Air Show Narrator contract opportunity. The Q&A addresses key performance details, including the Narrator's responsibilities and usage rights. Specifically, the Narrator will serve as an on-stage lead delivering a scripted presentation, with an emphasis on audience engagement and professionalism. The Government may record the event for internal documentation, but any public use of the Narrator's name, voice, or likeness requires prior written approval.
Regarding logistics, the contract specifies that lodging will be provided, and offerors can propose either an all-inclusive fee or itemize travel costs separately. Meal provisions are limited, with breakfast typically provided for performers and a lunch arrangement via a runner at the performer tent. Dinners will not be supplied. The Narrator is expected to bring energy to the delivery, with no requirement for specialized performance elements like musical accompaniment or character portrayal. Any recorded content may be used internally by the Government, with public release or rebroadcast contingent on separate agreement with the Narrator.

Q1: Will the performance include any of the following elements:
a. On-camera or on-stage lead (e.g., scripted presentation or bilingual delivery)?
A1: Yes. The Narrator will serve as an on-stage lead during the live event, delivering a scripted presentation. There is no bilingual requirement, but the ability to engage a diverse audience is encouraged.
b. Image licensing (use of name/likeness beyond the live event or in future media)?
A2: The Government may record the event for documentation and internal archival purposes. However, use of the Narrator’s name, voice, or likeness for future public-facing media or promotional content will not occur without prior written approval or a signed media release.
c. Reputation leverage (e.g., highlighting professional credentials such as IMDb in promotional materials)?
A3: The Government may include basic biographical information in official show materials (e.g., printed program or announcer intro). Any reference to professional affiliations (IMDb, etc.) will be limited and must be approved in advance by the Government POC.
d. Specialized performance (musical element, character portrayal, or unique audience engagement)?
A4: No specialized performance (e.g., music, character acting) is required. However, audience engagement and enthusiasm are highly valued. The Narrator is expected to bring energy and professionalism to the delivery.
e. Production usage across government or public platforms (e.g., distribution of footage, promotional content reuse)?
A5: Any recorded content may be used internally by the Government. Public release, rebroadcast, or promotional reuse will only occur if separately agreed upon with the Narrator and consistent with applicable licensing terms.
Q2: Will travel, lodging, and meals be provided separately or are they expected to be included in the quoted fee?
A6: Per the PWS, lodging will be provided. For other travel, offerors may either propose an all-inclusive fee or itemize travel costs separately in their quote. Meals will be expected, normally shows provide breakfast for the performers (including air boss/narrator/pyro… contractors working the show) and lunch is usually a runner who grabs food at the performer tent. Dinners will not be provided.
