About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for an Air Force vehicle procurement solicitation. The document contains five contractor questions with corresponding government responses regarding the acquisition of Tesla Cybertrucks, sedans, and Bongo trucks.
The key requirements clarified include: the Air Force will not authorize agent-of-record arrangements for Cybertruck purchases and has no intention of amending the solicitation; the correct Bongo truck type has been confirmed via an included image of a small white pickup truck; sunroofs are not desired on all sedans but the government wants pricing for both options with and without sunroofs; minor bumper damage is acceptable on the two Cybertrucks; and the 1600-pound batteries must be removed from the Cybertrucks. The responses indicate this is a follow-on procurement where the contractor previously held contract FA282322P0095 and other related contracts, suggesting familiarity with the Air Force's vehicle requirements.

Questions: Answers:
Q.1 Would the Air Force be willing to authorize my auto broker via an Agent of Record arrangement to purchase the Tesla Cybertrucks directly from a dealership in the name of the Air Force/whichever unit or representative is designated to take ultimate possession of the vehicles, in order to simplify the title and registration process and keep costs down?
A.1: Can you meet the requirement as it is currently written? The government has no intention of amending the solicitation or Statement of Work.
Q.2: Also -- I just want to confirm that this (pictured) is the desired Bongo type?
A.2: Yes, that is the correct Bongo truck.
Q.3: We noticed the specific request for Sunroofs for all the sedans (SOO 4.0 page 1) and being the former contract holder for FA282322P0095 and multiple other target contracts...sunroofs on sedans has NOT been requested...so just double checking that your customer does indeed want sunroofs.
A.3: We do not desire sunroofs on all of the sedans. We’d like pricing for sedans with, and without sunroofs.
Q.4: In regards to the 2 cybertrucks, is your customer interested in bumper damage (front or rear)?
A.4: We do not mind bumper damage on the cybertrucks.
Q.5 Do you want the 1600 pound batteries removed? A.5 We do require that the 1600lb batteries be removed from the cybertrucks.
