Auto Hobby Garage Door Replacement Statement of Work (SOW)

Summary of work:

Replacement of 14 existing doors and installation of 14 new Heavy Duty Wind Rated Overhead Roll-Up Garage Doors. Existing doors that will be replaced are hard to open/close and some do not stay up unless propped up. Other doors are starting to become damaged beyond repair. Two of the doors have been locked out by CE being that they have found them dangerous and in need of replacement. Please see diagram below for placement and size of replacement doors.

1) PROJECT SCOPE: The project is located on Eglin AFB, Auto Hobby, Building 721. The Contractor shall be required to furnish all materials, equipment, labor, and personnel necessary to design, manage, and accomplish this task. Removal of the old doors and replacement with new heavy-duty wind rated, overheard roll-up garage doors. A complete and usable facility must be furnished upon completion of task.

2) PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS:

A. ARCHITECTURAL/CIVIL:

a. A schedule of work including timeline of installation is to be provided before start of project.

b. Provide means for containing debris from demo/preparation activities.

c. Contractor shall protect all Auto Hobby assets, fences, landscaping, or any federally owned structures from damage related to the demo/installation of any of the doors.

d. Contractor shall maintain a clean work area and ensure proper drainage pathways of the existing parking lot.

e. Preparations for removal or transportation of the old door is the responsibility of the contractor. Contractor will remove and dispose of the all doors.

f. Remove and replace any damaged material that will affect proper door installation or structural stability of the building.

B. FIRE PROTECTION and LIFE SAFETY: The Contractor is expected to maintain, at all times, good and accepted practices and comply with OSHA safety standards.

a. All work shall be in accordance with the latest NFPA and NEC requirements to ensure maximum protection against loss of life and property by fire.

b. Design and installation must meet all UFC 3-600-01 and applicable NFPA Standards.
