Questions and Answers

1. How often will you need each piece of equipment over the next 5 years? The required equipment will be based on construction projects each fiscal year.

Type and quantity will vary over the five year period.

2. What happens if the equipment isn’t available at the time you require it? It will be the contractors responsibility to provide all equipment on each delivery order with in two weeks after the government places the order. No exceptions.

3. Do you have operator capable of running a paver? This is a complex piece of equipment. Yes, we have very highly skilled operators who are currently running our asphalt paver’s.

4. I find it difficult to bid this as IDIQ if it’s unknown how often (and for what duration) you will need the equipment in the next 5 years. Also, which equipment will you need at any given time. Some rentals maybe for two weeks? Some rentals maybe for a year at a time. Maybe two pieces of equipment or possibly 15 to 20 pieces of equipment based on projects or storm recovery efforts.

5. I would be willing to work with you and supply rates for each piece of equipment for a 28 day period (daily and weekly as well) over a 12 month period. I would not be able to guarantee equipment availability though. Rental rates shall be on a 28 day rental (1 month) days/weekly.

Availability is a hard requirement.
