ATTACHMENT A:
STATEMENT OF WORK
20 June 2019 Small Batch Curing Oven Bldg. 1352
1. SCOPE:
The Low Observable Shop requires a Lewco, Inc. SCB05EH-48-48-48 composite curing oven or like item.
The equipment will be located at Eglin AFB, Florida, 33rd Fighter Wing, Building 1352 (Low Observable Work Center), and specifically will be installed/housed in the Southeast side of the building next to our larger component oven. The contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, and equipment associated with the delivery and installation of the new oven. The contractor shall provide turnkey installation per the 33 FW Facilities Engineer remarks in this statement of work and provide all required training. All work must be completed during normal duty hours of Eglin AFB.
2. SUMMARY OF ELECTRICAL/ EXHAUST WORK
Provide all labor and materials to install the electrical circuit from panel MDP (480V, 225A;
located adjacent to the tool room) to a 100 Amp, 480 volt, 3-phase disconnect mounted adjacent to the oven and in sight of the oven control panel. This circuit shall be a 480 V, 3-phase, 4-wire circuit in electric metallic conduit (EMT), both the conductors and conduit shall be sized IAW manufacturer’s specifications/latest edition of the National Electrical Code. Install the circuit from the 100 Amp disconnect switch to the oven control panel. This circuit shall be a 480 V, 3-phase, 4-wire circuit in EMT conduit with a final transition to no more than 6’ liquid tight, flexible metal conduit using fittings appropriate to the installation, to make the final connection to the control panel. Both the conductors and conduit shall be sized IAW manufacturer’s specifications/latest edition of the National Electrical Code.
Install exhaust piping from the oven exhaust output to outside the facility. Exhaust will be uninsulated spiral wound ductwork. Path will be from oven exhaust through existing steel exterior wall and then straight up the wall to extend 3’ above facility roof. The outside end of the exhaust vent shall have a screened opening with a rain cap to prevent rain and other debris from entering the pipe from outside. The exhaust pipe penetration through the exterior wall shall be sealed with heat resistant material that prevents water, dust, or air intrusion into the facility through this penetration. Paint the exterior portion of the exhaust pipe to match existing building color.
ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
- Contractor shall perform all investigative and design services to verify where they will get power to feed the new equipment, which include all material required and method of installation.
- Final installation shall comply with the manufacturer’s recommended instructions and standards.
- Install all necessary components to make this a complete and operational system and by all appropriate codes and standards.
- All insulated type wire shall be THHN/THWN copper
- Only use compression fittings for EMT conduit. Connectors using set screws are not allowed.
- Contractor must field verify the voltage, amperage, wire size, transformer size, measurements, etc.
- Ensure electrical work is completed per the latest edition of the National Electrical Code.
- Ensure new electrical work is grounded and bonded per the latest edition of the National Electrical Code
- Ensure Design and Installation meet all requirements of UFC 3-600-01 and all applicable NFPA standards
- Ensure compliance with the Eglin AFB specific base electrical requirements.
- All branch circuits shall have their own neutral conductor, no sharing of the neutral conductor.
- The Contractor shall repair any openings in electrical boxes, panels, cabinets, etc. when the opening is created by the Contractor removing something or not using an opening they created.
- Any holes created by the Contractor through the wall, floor, ceiling, etc. for installation or removal of conduit, pipe, duct, etc. needs to be repaired to seal the opening with appropriate material to meet any appropriate code requirements.
- All electrical circuits and associated components installed outside shall be watertight (NEMA 4 rated).
- Series rated circuit breakers, panels, equipment shall not be used.
- 5 year extended warranty.
