Questions and Answer #2
26 March 2019
Q1: In the CLIN Table you list an “Interference Simulator, including Interference Control Unit and one advanced channel …”. On its own this requirement clearly requires only 2 channels, however Item #1 in your list of “Specifications/Salient Characteristics” states a requirement for “two independently controllable composite outputs” and having only two Interference channels would provide the same interference to each RF output and therefore the interference is independently controllable. In order to provide “independent control” of the Interference for each of the RF outputs, four channels of interference are needed.
Please clarify your requirements based on the following scenarios:
• One (1) Interference Simulator including Interference Control Unit and one (1) additional channel of interference (as stated in current spec) o Requires One set of interference channels (L1 & L2) which are applied to both RF outputs. (no independent control of interference) o This solution provides ONE set of Interference channels (L1 & L2) that are combined with both RF outputs.
• One (1) Interference Simulator including Interference Control Unit and three (3) additional channels of interference.
o Requires Four interference channels that are applied as independently controlled interference to separate RF outputs. (with independent control of RF outputs) o This solution consists of TWO separate sets of Interference channels (each set providing two frequencies, i.e. L1 and L2). Each Interference set will be internally associated (hardwired) with and RF output and combined with that RF output to produce TWO independent outputs consisting of the Interference and GPS signals that can be controlled independent of the other.
