Q1. Is there some way to staff this with less than 24/7 coverage?
A1. No, coverage needs to be 24/7.
Q2. Please provide us with “Run Data”. How many and what type (ALS, BLS, medical, trauma) calls are there per/day/week/month/year or in whatever form you have available.
A2. 8 calls average per month.
Q3. Appendix 1 does not seem to include the ambulance storage space identified in 3.3. Is there a heated space and electrical outlets available for use by the ambulances (2).
A3. Yes.
Q4. In the provided office space is there any equipment provided? Desks, chairs, cots, etc?
A4. Yes, there is an area to sleep and chairs/desk.
Q5. Are stand-by ambulance personnel permitted to sleep? If so are sleeping areas provided?
A5. Yes.
Q6. In paragraph 1 the contractor is expected to participate in “exercises, special events, sports events, and specialized training”. Will all or some of these require a 2nd ambulance and crew? If so can you quantify how many hours of service for the second ambulance and crew be required? Is it possible to request a second CLIN for special events etc. at a fixed rate with an estimated annual volume to be utilized by the government as needed?
A6. A second unit will not be needed.
Q7. I don’t note a question period listed; is there a deadline for questions?
A7. Deadline has past.
Q8. Other than in the body of the FBO.gov positing; I don’t find CLIN forms to be utilized (not found in attachments) for pricing; do you have a specific form for submitting CLIN pricing?
A8. Contractor shall fill out attached bid schedule.
Q9. Will you be posting a Form 1449 to accompany offers?
A9. No.
Q10. I note Part 1: Price Proposal, and Part 2: Past Performance is required; however, I don’t note Font Type or Size restrictions; are there any?
A10. Font – Times New Roman, Size - 12
Q11. Are there any page number restrictions for Part 1 or Part 2?
A11. Contractor is to submit pricing on Bid Schedule. Past Performance is to be no more than 50 pages.
Q12. Due to the relatively short response period for this solicitation, do you anticipate extending the Response Date?
A12. Date has been extended to 18 Aug 15
Q13. Is the ambulance that is covers "backfill" to pick up the patients for transfer operated by RMM?
A13. Yes. When a transfer is started the off base RMM headquarters dispatches another ambulance. They will meet the on base ambulance at the visitors center and trade the patient between crews.
Q14. Is the contractor allowed to leave a special event to respond to a real world emergency?
A14. They are able to respond for a real world emergency. No backfill is required.
