About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for RFI #FA252126QB082 regarding an electric tugger procurement. The document clarifies two key specifications for the battery-powered material handling device being solicited by the Department of the Air Force Space Command. The first clarification confirms that the tugger must be capable of pushing and pulling equipment weighing up to 100,000 pounds, addressing a vendor inquiry about whether the weight specification was 10,000 pounds or 100,000 pounds. The second clarification specifies that the Air Force requires a walk-behind unit rather than a stand-up or sit-down rider configuration.
This Q and A document supports the pre-solicitation for an electric tugger designed to eliminate manual handling strain and increase productivity in material handling operations. Vendors submitting capability statements must do so in PDF format, and telephone responses will not be accepted. The document serves as supplementary guidance for potential offerors preparing responses to the solicitation.
