STATEMENT OF WORK

1.0 DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES.

The request for service is to rebuild the Trane chiller compressor on circuit (CKT) 1 of the B423 South Chiller (Serial U12J04554). The work of rebuilding the compressor is proprietor equipment that needs to be repaired by a certified factory Trane personnel.

2.0 SERVICES SUMMARY.

2.1 Utilizing industry means and methods, licensed contractor provides all lift equipment, tools, trained labor and material to perform services that is being requested. The scope of work should be accomplished within two (2) weeks by Trane personnel.

2.2 Lock Out/ Tag Out Circuit 1.

2.3 Evacuate Refrigerant from circuit one.

2.4 Separate CKT 1 rotor housing

2.5 Remove, clean, inspect, and replace O-Ring from Rotor Housing.

2.6 Remove and install new oil filter.

2.7 Inspect and adjust check valve on compressor.

2.8 Leak check CKT 1

2.9 Charge chiller 1 with new refrigerant (R-134A).

2.10 Verify Refrigerant oil level.

2.11 Check operation and verify CKT 1 operation.

3.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY (GFP) AND SERVICES.

3.1 The Government will provide power source and access to facilities.

3.2 128 lbs. of refrigerant (R-134A)

4.0 GENERAL INFORMATION:

4.1 LOCATION AND HOURS OF WORK.

4.1.1 Services contained in this SOW requires work at B423 South Chiller Mechanical Room.

4.1.2 Access to Mechanical room will be provided by 45 CES/ HVAC personnel on a daily basis.

4.1.3 All work will be performed on hours; 0700 hrs. to 1700 hrs., Monday through Friday. Period of performance for this project is two weeks.

Reporting to and from work should include the necessary time of scheduling of vehicle inspections at both installations.

4.3 BADGING AND IDENTIFICATION.

4.3.1 All contractors to include their direct employees, subcontractors and subcontractor employees entering both Patrick Space Force Base and Cape

Canaveral Space Force Station are required to have an individual badge prior to beginning work at the facilities. Therefore, it is essential the contractor completes 45th SFS Credential request form SFS V10 (Subject to Privacy Act of 1974) visitor’s information section.

4.3.2 Once the COR receives the 45 SFS credential request form it will take approximately 3 Federal working days before a short-term entry badge can be prepared.

4.3.3 All employees must bring TWO (2) forms of identification and all vehicles cleared with updated Florida registration and motor vehicle insurance.

5.0 Safety and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

5.0.1 Contractor shall comply with all applicable Federal, State and local legal requirements regarding workers health and safety. The requirements include but are not limited to those found in Federal and State Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) statutes and regulations, such as applicable provisions of Title 29, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Parts 1910 and1960. Contractor is solely responsible for determining the legal requirements that apply to activities and shall ensure safe and healthful working conditions for its employees. The Act’s General Duty Clause, Section 5(a) (1), requires employers to provide their employees with a workplace free from recognized hazards likely to cause death or serious physical harm. The Occupational Safety and Health Act requires employers to comply with safety procedures providing fall protection--personal protective equipment not limited to gloves, hard hat, and safety toe shoes.
