Solicitation FA2521-15-Q-B022 Questions and Responses

Question 1: “what will the projected quantities for each of the 132 items be over a twelve month period?”

Response: Unknown, individual chemicals will be ordered on an as-needed basis. The procurement vehicle will be a Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) -- refer to the posted combined synopsis/solicitation.

Question 2: “What have the usage quantities for each of the 132 items been over the past twelve months?”

Response: N/A, this is a new requirement.

Question 3: “Will this award be made to one vendor, or item-by-item?”

Response: Per the combined synopsis/solicitation "The Government may award Multiple BPAs (up to a maximum of three BPAs) resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror(s) whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government."

Question 4: “Will all items be shipped to one address or multiple address? If the latter, please provide all addresses?”

Response: All chemicals will be shipped to Patrick AFB, FL.

Question 5: “From a previous contract or historical usage over the past twelve months, please provide the price paid for each item?”

Response: N/A, this is a new requirement.

Question 6: “The term - "No, must be exact size" - if the size listed is one liter, 1000ml (for example) can the vendor offer 2 x 500 ml and make one price entry, ie for 1000 ml and ship 2 X 500 ml?”

Response: The exact size (amount) is due to storage and safety restrictions. The response is "it depends". We are authorized to store certain quantities but may be limited in space to store those quantities dependent on how they are packaged. Using the question's example, we may have adequate space to store 2 each 500ml containers, but we probably wouldn’t have adequate space to store 10 each 100ml containers. If using multiple containers to fulfill a specific quantity; identify the size and number of containers you are offering.

Question 7: “Where you specify - "No, must be one of the sixes listed." - will you multiply or divide the prices by how each vendor responds?”

Response: For multiple sizes, the price per unit of measure will be calculated. For example, if a chemical requirement size can be either 250g or 500g, the price per gram will be calculated.
