RFP Section ___N/A_______ Paragraph _________ SOW/Technical Specification/Drawings paragraph/page ___________ Other (Specify) __Site Visit_________________________ Question: Q:_Will sight glass be required on new radiator assemblies? A: No, this will not be necessary, however, if one is provided, it must be free of leaks and, cause no loss of coolant.____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ RFP Section ___N/A_______ Paragraph _________ SOW/Technical Specification/Drawings paragraph/page ___________ Other (Specify) __Question concerning part numbers__________ Question: Would it be possible to get engine specs and the existing part numbers from the units in place now?
Answer:
2 each - 1680 kilowatt generators powered by Mitsubishi diesel engine model#: S16R-PTA with serial #'s: 11045 and 11046.
1 each - 1680 kilowatt generators powered by Mitsubishi diesel engine model#:S16R-Y1PTA-2, serial #: 13147.
We do not have part numbers for the radiators. The original radiators were custom built for each enclosure compartment.
All three engines are V-16 and turbocharged units. The output of the generators is 2400/4160VAC and they operate at 1800RPMs.
The specifications of the each of the four upgraded cores that comprise the radiator assembly shall be: FIN TYPE - T-12, TUBE ROWS - 7, FPI RATING -11, TUBE - ¾", CENTERS -7/16", DEPTH - 6.15 ", HEIGHT - 38", WIDTH - 38", SQUARE INCHES - 1444. The overall size of the radiator assembly is: side channels to side channel width is 84 ¼", combined tank/cores assembled height is 78 ½ ", tank thickness is approximately is 14".
This is not a simple removal / installation of a radiator from each generator compartment. The space available to remove / install each radiator is limited but adequate to perform the action, as it has been performed successfully in the past. The space inside each generator enclosure where the generator is located is a confined space.
