Fire Equipment Testing Questions & Answers
Q1: Are you able to provide more information regarding the Compressor systems outlined in this RFQ? For example, are they dry / pre-action or nitrogen systems?
A1: See revised PWS dated 6 Sep 2024, specifically para 2.2 and 2.3.
Q2: Pump testing, is this referring to Fire Pumps or something else? If it is Fire Pump testing, please provide the following information: Make, Model, Size (GPM), Diesel or Pneumatic, Number of Hose Connections on the test header, distance in feet to the closest drain and/or location where fire pump water should be flowed, and make, model, size, and qty of Jockey Pump Controllers.
A2: See revised PWS dated 6 Sep 2024, specifically para 2.4.
Q3: Hose testing and Nozzles, is this referring to Standpipe Hoses or something else? If they are standpipe hoses, how many?
A3: See revised PWS dated 6 Sep 2024, specifically para 2.5.
Q4: Are there spare hoses and/or temporary fire protection to put in place once hoses are removed for testing or is this the contractor’s responsibility to provide while equipment is being serviced?
