Custodial Service PAFB & CMAFS Solicitation FA2517-07-R-5001, Amendment 0002

PAFB & CMAFS Site Visit 24 June 08

Minutes

All participants met at the PAFB West Gate. Bus transportation was provided as we visited PAFB Building 2, Child Development Center (CDC), and the Fitness Center. The bus toured the PAFB complex to give participants an idea for the size of the base. After lunch, the bus proceeded to CMAFS. Participants were processed through security and toured most of the outlying buildings as well as inside of the mountain. CMAFS Commander addressed the participants at the CMAFS conference room. All participants returned to PAFB West Gate Visitor’s Center. The site visit and any discussion during the site visit are considered for information only. Attendees requiring a formal answer to questions during the Custodial Service PAFB & CMAFS Site Visit are required to submit the questions in writing to Susan Bechtel by 26 June 2008.

Key discussion items for your review are:

1. The IDIQ format is driven by the uncertainty of the task requirements from the customer.

2. Ala Carte lists those tasks that that are obtainable when there is funds to support the tasking.

The facilities that are currently getting Ala Carte are:

· Bldg 1: Trash 5W, restrooms extra sweep and spot clean daily

· Bldg 2 Normal: Vacuum - 3W, Sweep/mop - 3W, Floor Maint – W, Trash -5W, Low dust – M, High dust –M, Entrance/interior glass -3W, restrooms -2D, Descale restrooms – M, Clean carpet – M6, Strip seal floors – M6, clean furniture – Y

· Bldg 2 Command interest: Vacuum - 5W, Sweep/mop - 5W, Floor Maint – 5W, Trash -5W, Low dust – 5W, High dust –M, Entrance/interior glass -5W, restrooms -2D, Descale restrooms – M, Clean carpet – M6, Strip seal floors – M6, clean furniture – Y

· Bldg 920: Vacuum - 3W, Sweep/mop - 3W, Floor Maint – W, Trash -2W, Low dust – M, High dust –M, Entrance/interior glass -3W, Descale restrooms – M, Clean carpet – M6, Strip seal floors – M6, clean furniture – Y

· Bldg 2025: Vacuum – Hallways 2W, Trash -2W, Entrance/interior glass –M3, Descale restrooms – M, Clean carpet – Y, Strip seal floors – M6, Funds permitting will allow for carpet cleaning and strip/seal and additional items for all facilities.

3. Special Event lead time to coordinate tasking will vary depending on the announcement of the event.

There is no lead time for Emergency taskings.

4. Attch 3 Proposal Sched Exh A-K KTR Fill-in 25Jun08.xls last page contains the Work order needed to submit for Emergency and Special Event cleaning as the funding becomes available.

5. The windows/ glass that are included in the contract are listed in the PWS 1.1.2.2.9 and 1.1.2.2.14. For each building requiring this task, see PWS Appendix 1 and 1A.

6. Additional maps are provided to the awardee showing the window areas and a walk-through of each facility receiving this service will be performed.

7. PWS paragraph “1.1.2.2.7 High Dusting. Remove all dust from horizontal and vertical surfaces to include pipes, ledges, railings, window sills, window coverings, light fixtures, air ducts and vents above eight (8) feet so that after dusting they are free of all visible dust, lint, litter and dry soil.”

At CMAFS, Utility pipes are not included. The Government will not provide man-lifts. The contractor should provide their own extension apparatus and step ladders to dust “above 8 feet so that after dusting they are free of all visible dust, lint, litter and dry soil.”

8. Further question and answers are addressed in Amendment 2, Attch 11 Q & A 18 June – 26 June 08 SolicAmend2.doc .
