QUESTIONS

1) On what floor of the building will the tile be installed?

Installation will be on the second floor as shown on the attached floor plan. The second floor subfloor is a low density gypcrete material which will require stabilization as described in the revised solicitation prior to installation of the tiles.

2) How many individual rooms are involved in the installation? Is there a floor plan available?

Installation will be in the open corridor and one small area inside Room 224. Floor plan in *.pdf format is attached.

3) The tiles installed previously were finished at the walls with rubber topset base. Will you require rubber topset base be supplied and installed as part of this contract?

Rubber topset base will need to be supplied and installed as needed. Matching rubber threshold transitions as needed will be required as well. Rubber topset base/transition: Burke, Uni-color 502 Brown.

4) Are there specific work hours that must be observed for this installation? Will evening or weekend work be required?

Typically hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 0730-1700hrs (unless Mr Tran has some other requirement?).

5) What is the existing flooring to be removed?

Existing flooring to be removed is carpet; existing topset base to be removed is 4" rubber.

6) Is grout to be used on this project?

No grout for this project. The tile is a vinyl type tile that is installed using manufacturer's adhesive without any grout joints.
