1. Would you like a bid for finishing the requested job in 2 weeks as opposed to 3 weeks?

a. That’s acceptable

2. Could we have a spot designated as a “lay down area” (meeting spot, supplies)

a. Staging areas and lay down areas are established along the wall in the nearest wide corridor to work sites.

3. Can we be on site 1 hour before start time for prep/stay late 1 hour after work for clean up?

a. That’s acceptable

4. Prefer bussing in labor to avoid traffic congestion coming into the base?

a. Not recommended. They’d have to come through the truck gate and the waiting times are pretty lengthy. You may opt for this method but this method also has some additional restrictions such as entry must be through the truck gate and the waiting times can be significantly longer than normal entry.

5. Will we be provided a staging area for our supply trailer near the facility?

a. Contractor vans, trailers etc can be parked in the area marked on the TAFB map where the construction refuse container can also be set up.

6. Has any mold testing (either airborne or wipe sampling) been performed? Has any invasive testing been done inside the walls for mold presence?

a. No – to both questions.

7. Are the ceiling tiles included? And have they been tested for asbestos along with the interior walls, texture, and joint compound?

a. No - to both questions.

8. Do you want all the furniture (and carpet) removed, then cleaned and then replaced? Or simply replace all furniture with new. If you want to replace all the old furniture, it will not need to be cleaned, just wrapped and put into dumpsters.

a. Purpose of this project is cleaning only.

9. Duct cleaning is to be conducted only 5’ away from any and all diffusers? How many diffusers are these in the work area?

a. Duct cleaning in not included in this project. The number and type of diffusers will vary for each area.

10. Can you tell me the square footage on the floor only, for the entire work area?

a. The request for proposal states the total area.

11. Where do you want us to put all the interior furniture while it is being cleaned and/or replaced?

a. Furniture to remain within the space.

12. How do you want to “clear” the work area upon completion of job? Whose responsibility will the clearance testing fall under, a government contractor or a third party environmental testing firm?

a. Visual inspection of the area by government personnel.

13. Is the date of 8NOV19 a firm end date for the project?

a. No. This is a desired completion date

14. Will you be providing a SOW concerning the HVAC unit? Will you engineering staff be securing all HVAC units in order for work to be performed?

a. No. HVAC units will not be included in this project. Temporary or portable type units will be removed from the area.

15. Is there a designated location for dumpsters? And will the dumpster areas require temporary fencing for public safety?

a. The area for dumpsters in annotated on the map (posted in FBO) and yes to fencing.

16. For the ceiling removal, should the grid system be left in place for reuse or should the grid system be removed along with the ceiling tiles?

a. The grid system shall be left in place. Only cleaning is required for the grid.

17. Remediation and mold removal work is limited to the office space and does not include the hallway?

a. Correct

18. Should carpet tiles and wall base be removed and properly disposed of?

a. No. Only cleaning is required.

19. No walls will be removed correct?

a. Correct.
