About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a DFAC (Dining Facility) Serving Line equipment replacement project at Minot Air Force Base. The Q&A provides technical details about the proposed serving line, including specific dimensions and design requirements. The serving line will consist of connected stations: a Global and Entree section (34 feet long, 2'10" height, 3'11" depth) and a Pizza, N'Rich, and Sub Connection section (43'4" long, 2'10" height, 3'11" depth). The government requires a full stainless-steel countertop with electrical connections to support the equipment specified in the Statement of Work, and the contractor must design the serving line to support the Food 2.0 concept while meeting Air Force standards.
The project is being conducted by the Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command, with solicitation number F3C3MD5073AW01, and involves replacing the existing metallic front-of-house serving line counters. The Q&A emphasizes that the new design must precisely match the current station layout to ensure compliance with Air Force regulations and the Food 2.0 program requirements. Vendors are expected to provide detailed drawings that conform to the specified dimensions, equipment needs, and design specifications outlined in the solicitation and its appendices.

2. What are the required dimensions (length, depth, height, and cutout sizes) for each of the stations.
“The Global and Entrée portion are connected stations that are a total of 34 feet in length, the height is 2 feet 10 inches, and the depth is 3 feet 11 inches. For the Pizza, N’Rich, and Sub Connection, the total length is 43 feet and 4 inches, the height is 2 feet 10 inches, and the depth is 3 feet 11 inches.”
3. Are there any specific design requirements (edge finishes, gauge, or utility connections) that should be included.
“We are looking to have a full stainless-steel countertop installed, the electrical required will have to be to the set standard to power all equipment listed in the SOW (Page 7 – 12)”
4. Does the government intends for vendors to propose their own dimensions/specifications based on typical serving line layouts.
“The drawing submitted by the contractor must be able to support the Food 2.0 concept as it is a requirement for Minot, AFB to have the set stations we have currently to meet the standards of the program, and ensure we are in regulation for Air Force Standards.”
