Dentist Q&A (Reference-Number F2X4A23151AG04)

1. Question: The proposal instructions indicate that pricing should include unit and extended prices, yet the CLIN’s show only one pricing field. Should we price an hourly rate and an annual rate (unit price x 1,920 Hours)?

Response: Hourly rate x 1920 hours

2. Question: What are the on-call hours and days? The solicitation indicates weekday; does that include Friday evening?

Response: There’s 720 hours allocated for weekdays on-call, does not include weekend.

3. Question: Is call back required? If yes, how often has it occurred and is the pricing the same as the regular hours for call-back?

Response: No

4. Question: Section 1.9 indicates that expectations are a minimum of 40 -60 hours per week. If the contract employee consistently works more than a 40 hour week, the maximum of 1,920 hours would be exceeded for the contract year. If the dentist works more than 40 hours in a week, will subsequent weeks be adjusted to maintain the 1,920 hours for the contract year? Or should we assume more than 1,920 hours for the contract year?

Response: 1920 hours per year

5. Question: How many down days are planned for FY14?

Response: Ten (10) federal holidays and approximately six (6) down days per year

6. Question: What is the average number of down days per year?

Response: Six (6) down days per year

7. Question: Is the an LPTA procurement? The evaluation criteria states “technical acceptability” only.

Response: No, please see the Basis of Award in Amendment 0002, posted 10 Sep 13

8. Question: Is there an existing contract or is this a new requirement?

Response: This is a new requirement for the Maxwell AFB Contracting Office; however, there is a current contract in place awarded by another contracting office.

9. Question: If there is an existing contract, who is the contractor and what is the hourly billable rate?

Response: Saratoga Medical Center Inc. The Government can’t release other contractors unit pricing

10. Question: What are the hours worked?

Response: Refer to performance work statement (PWS) section 1.9. Hours are 0700 - 1600

11. Question: Will there be any additional requirements for these proposals, other than what’s on FBO?

Response: Yes, please see Amendment 0002, posted 10 Sep 13, for changes to the solicitation.

12. Question: Is there an incumbent healthcare worker

Response: See response to question 9 above.

13. Question: Do the Government only requires a cost/price proposal/quote?

Response: Please see Amendment 0002, posted 10 Sep 13, for changes to the solicitation.

14. Question: Could you please clarify the due date of the bid?

Response: Please see Amendment 0002, posted 10 Sep 13, for changes to the solicitation.

15. Question: I did not see any request for past performance in the solicitation. Can you confirm that this is correct?
