Statement of Requirements String Pinsetters for Maxwell Bowling Center
1.0 PURPOSE. The purpose of this requirement is to purchase and install a complete and usable commercial-grade String Pinsetters system at Maxwell Bowling Center. This system must integrate hardware and software to enhance live-action gameplay and provide a team-building experience in the Bowling Center.
Providing recreational options for military personnel and their families is essential. Recreational activities, such as bowling, play a crucial role in maintaining the morale, welfare, and readiness of military members.
They offer a healthy outlet for stress relief, promote physical fitness, and foster a sense of community and camaraderie among service members and their families. By enhancing the recreational facilities at Maxwell Bowling Center, we aim to support the overall well-being and resilience of our military personnel, contributing to their effectiveness and readiness for duty.
2.0 DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS. The following items are required for performance under this contract:
2.1 String Pinsetters
2.1.1 The system must ensure precise and consistent pinsetting, with pins accurately positioned in their designated spots after each frame. This precision is achieved through advanced alignment mechanisms and sensors that detect and correct any misalignment. The pinsetters must also provide optimal pin action, which is the dynamic movement and interaction of the pins upon impact with the bowling ball. This is facilitated by the use of high-tensile strength strings that ensure consistent pinfall and minimize the likelihood of pins being knocked over unintentionally.
2.1.2 The system must be user-friendly, allowing any staff member to operate it with minimal training and maintenance. It should feature a streamlined easy access, and durable design, incorporating highquality materials and precision engineering to minimize the need for frequent servicing and reduce downtime. The system should include an intuitive control panel for easy operation and diagnostics.
2.1.3 The system must include a real-time monitoring application that provides notifications and stepby-step instructions for maintenance and troubleshooting. This application should be accessible via mobile devices and provide video guidance on necessary actions.
2.1.4 The system must deliver exceptional performance and quality, combining advanced electromechanical design and intelligent software to ensure low operating costs. The pinsetters should have a high mean time between failures (MTBF) and low mean time to repair (MTTR).
2.1.5 The system must feature adaptive string length technology, automatically adjusting string length based on the type of bowling play to ensure optimal performance for both casual play and certified competition. This technology should provide industry-best performance.
2.1.6 The system must integrate with the existing scoring software used at Maxwell Bowling Center.
The scoring software currently in use is Conqueror Pro version 5.0 or later. The pinsetters must be compatible with this software and provide seamless integration for scoring and game management.
2.1.7 The system must fit within the existing pinsetter area, with maximum dimensions of 120 inches in length, 60 inches in width, and 80 inches in height. The pinsetters should be designed for easy installation and alignment within these dimensions.
2.1.8 Provide pin deck lighting.
2.1.9 Provide string pinsetters to Lanes 1 through 6.
