About this file
This is a solicitation document for 12V Solar AGM Batteries required by Luke Air Force Base, Air Combat Command (ACC), Tactical Readiness and Sustainment Squadron (TRSS) Detachment 9. The government seeks 150 batteries total, delivered in three equal tranches of 50 units each: not later than 24 July 2026, 24 October 2026, and 24 January 2027, with delivery to ACC TRSS Det 9 Luke AFB, AZ 85309.
The required batteries must meet specific technical specifications including 12V voltage with 125Ah 20-hour capacity, 260-minute reserve capacity at 25A, and cycle life ratings of approximately 1,600 cycles at 25% depth of discharge, 900 cycles at 50% depth of discharge, and 550 cycles at 80% depth of discharge. Additional salient characteristics include 720A cold cranking amps, 900A marine cranking amps, 1.7 kWh energy capacity, operating temperature range of -4°F to 140°F, dimensions of 12.9"L x 6.8"W x 8.5"H (8.7" with terminals), BCI Group size 31, and threaded hole positive and negative terminals. The batteries must be compatible with charging currents of 8A to 35A, charging voltage of 14.4V to 14.9V, float voltage of 13.5V to 13.8V, and solar panels ranging from 175W to 450W. The batteries are designed for the FOC Battery Power unit and must demonstrate exceptional durability and resistance to vibration, extreme heat, and harsh weather conditions, with a design life of 8 to 10 years in float service.
