MEMORANDUM FOR 633 CONS/LGCD
SUBJECT: Fuel Dispensing Equipment Upgrade
1. Title: Fuel Dispensing Equipment Upgrade
2. Location: AAFES Shoppette
3. The work to be performed encompasses a comprehensive upgrade of the fuel dispensing equipment at Building 245 (AAFES Shoppette). The scope includes the following tasks:
a) Shut off the power to the submersible pump at the breaker box.
b) Open the nozzle at the dispenser to relieve line pressure.
c) Shut the ball valve at the discharge of the turbine.
d) Remove the existing Veeder Root Electronic Line Leak Detector.
e) Cap electrical wires.
f) Reprogram the existing Veeder Root TLS 450 plus Console.
g) Install a Vaporless Mechanical Line Leak Detector into the Super Submergible Pump.
h) Purge product lines and conduct a thorough check for any leaks.
i) Calibrate the leak detector to a 3 gallons per minute leak rate.
j) Test all equipment to ensure proper working order.
k) Provide and install the following dispensing equipment:
- 1 Vaporless LD2000E mechanical 3GPM line leak detector.
4. To the greatest extent possible, installation and maintenance activities will be conducted during normal workdays from 0730 EST to 1630 EST. The contractor is authorized to work during non-standard hours, subject to coordination with the government COR and facility manager.
5. Drawings and technical descriptions are not required for this project.
6. Special Instructions:
All work shall be meticulously coordinated with 633 CES COR and AAFES to minimize any impact on mission operations.
7. All work must be completed within 90 calendar days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed to the contractor.
