Amendment 2, Questions.

Is this prime power or standby?

This is standby power.

Is Cummings lock in?

The Cummins brand is locked in. The generators must be the Cummins 450 DFEJ model. A different brand would not meet the requirements of this project.

Will you please advise if the solicitation requires product installation and any additional design?

The vendor does not need to provide installation. The Generators are being installed by a generic Air Force Asset the Civil Engineering Maintenance Inspection and Repair Team (CEMIRT). The vendor does need to provide initial vendor startup services required for the Generators and Digital Master Controller. CEMIRT design is based on specified brand name models and will not require additional design. CEMIRT has performed a complete site survey to ensure compatibility with the specified equipment. Should a different equipment be proposed further design may be required to ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure and current replacement plan. Please see the Generator Drawings for existing infrastructure.

Please see the attached one line diagram of the generator setup. The Digital Master Controller receives feedback from the Automatic Transfer Switches which are 4 pole ASCO 7000 models. The DMC controls circuit breakers that sit in the 480 Volt Generator Parallel Switch Gear in the top right corner of the drawing. These circuit breakers are 800A and 600V rated Square D Masterpact MP08H1 Circuit Breakers. This project is replacing existing backup generators that have become outdated and the solution must be compatible with the existing infrastructure. Please reference the attached generator drawings for specifications of the existing infrastructure.
