VI. Description of efforts made to ensure that offers are solicited from as many potential sources as practicable.

A Sources Sought was posted to FBO and GSA eBuy. One small business replied with a capability statement that did not mention the requirement itself. Upon further inquiry, the offeror stated that they actually could not provide the required items.

VII. Determination by the Contracting Officer that the anticipated cost to the Government will be fair and reasonable.

Three past purchases of insulating systems from Fire Facilities, Inc. were examined, ranging in price from to

. The purchase costs varied due to differing installation sizes. Those prices were determined to be fair and reasonable by the Contracting Officers who awarded them, and there is no reason to anticipate solicitation of this contractor will yield a price quotation that is not in line with past purchases.

VIII. Description of the market research conducted and the results, or a statement of the reasons market research was not conducted.

The manufacturer of the Westec Burn Panels was contacted to see if they have any distributors, which they do not.

Research through GSA eBuy and Google yielded no other suppliers of Westec Insulating Systems nor did the Sources Sought requests posted to FBO and GSA.
