Question and Answer #1 Solicitation F1TECQ2180A001 Q1) What is meant by “No specific ratio of Sedans to SUVs, condition of the vehicle is more important” in reference to (15) Dark Colored Sedans, (15) Medium Colored Sedans, and (10) White/light Colored Sedans?

A1) The government does not require there to be a specific ratio of sedans to SUVs in regards the vehicles as mentioned. For example we would rather have 14 Dark Colored Sedans and 1 Dark Colored SUV if all 14 sedans had bodies intact and good looking paint than have 12 such sedans and 3 "beat up" SUVs with the paint faded and peeling off.

Q2) Do these cars have to be registered?

A2) If there is any discrepancy regarding the proof of ownership of any of these vehicles the contractor may have to provide proof of ownership in accordance with FAR 52.212-4(o). It is inherent upon the contractor to ensure that they are legally capable of selling and delivering each vehicle proposed in their quote.

Q3) Can the contractor provide target vehicles as specified but with the engines and transmissions removed? The bodies will be complete and able to roll on standard wheels.

A3) Yes
