About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation F1T0BW4292A001 regarding furniture acquisition for the 15th Test Squadron at Nellis AFB. The document addresses 30 questions covering specifications for various furniture items including workstations, desks, tables, and storage units.
Key details include: furniture must have a walnut laminate finish with silver/gray metal accents where applicable, panel heights should be 15 inches, chairs are being purchased separately through the Air Force chair purchase program, delivery/assembly/trash removal is required, and no electrical power requirements are needed for any furniture items. The contractor does not need to provide brand-specific furniture but must maintain uniform appearance throughout the building. CAD files are available by request, and Table T10 has been removed from the scope of work. The furniture can be provided through either GSA contract or open market, though this is specified as an open market requirement.

1. Would there be a CAD file that could be sent out?
SAM.gov does not support dwg files, so these files will be provided by REQUEST ONLY via email. If you would like to receive the CAD files please email Erin Lilly at erin.lilly.1@us.af.mil. You will receive an email from DoD Safe to access/download these files.
2. We noticed the furniture scope does not list any chairs. Are they part of a sperate bid? Would you like us to provide options for these separately or include them in our bid response?
Chairs are being purchased through the Air Forces chair purchase program
3. In regard to the furniture installation, would you like us to install, or will you use your internal team to do so?
The company on contract to provide furniture is responsible for delivery, assembly, and haul away of all trash in accordance with the statement of work.
4. For product W14, the reception desk. On the sketch below the product description and rendering, it says the credenza is to be metal and the mobile pedestals are as well. But you reference the finish should be walnut on the credenza and pedestals, suggesting a laminate credenza and pedestals which match the other walnut laminate colors. Can you clarify whether they should be metal or walnut laminate.
Pedestals shall be walnut laminate. Credenza and desks/tables shall be laminate walnut.
Metal legs in silver/gray are acceptable substitutes desks/tables.
5. For the Workstations and Desks with transaction counters, how high do you want the panels on the ends of the desks?
15 inches

Modesty panels should be 15 inches mailto:erin.lilly.1@us.af.mil
7. For Table 7-7D, Table T1, and T4 you don't specify the color/finish of the base on the table. Please specify color/finish desired for each table.
Laminate walnut
8. Line item 0006 and 0007, Round Table T5 and T6 are both shown in location room 113. The drawing only has T5 in the picture and I don't believe there is room for two tables. You also have two T6 tables in rooms 021 and 014, which are not listed on Attachment Items List. Can you clarify which table(s) are in room 113 and whether you need or don't need T6 in room 021 and 014.
T5 should be in Rm 113 only (1 total) // T6 should be in Rm 014 & 021 (2 total). The items list has been updated to reflect this.
9. F8 - Will you accept a 24" width? Will you accept height of 66" or 79". If so, what height?
We would prefer 30” w x 72” h, but 24”x66” is acceptable.

We would prefer a 30” w x 24” d table, but 36”x24” is acceptable.

This is an open market requirement, but GSA quotes will be accepted.

Table T10 was removed from the SOW and will be purchased through the approved Air Force purchase program. Please reference Attachment 2 – Items List for a full list of the required items.
26. For the furniture items, do they have to be brand specific? If not, is an equal that may not exactly look like what was on the specifications but would meet the dimensions and material be accepted? In example lags and bases of tables, some of them have metal, is it acceptable to have a metal leg with a different shape? I.e. T3, can the base be square instead of circular?
Furniture does not have to be brand specific, but should be very close in appearance to the specified requirements and have a uniform look (finish/appearance) throughout the building.
