About this file

This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) filed by the Florida Department of Health, Children's Medical Services (CMS), Bureau of Child Protection and Special Technologies. The agency seeks to procure a sub-specialty certification program for credentialing Child Protection Team Medical Directors for a three-year term. The certification program is required to ensure that local CPT Medical Directors comply with Florida Statute s. 39.303, which mandates that these professionals be either board-certified in child abuse pediatrics or pass a child abuse certification exam administered by an approved third-party credentialing entity. The document was posted on March 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM, with a deadline for receipt of information on April 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The contact for inquiries is Joi Robinson, located at 4052 Bald Cypress Way, Tallahassee, Florida 32399, reachable at (850) 901-6399 or Joi.Robinson@flhealth.gov. The internal tracking number is EXP2664.

The estimated dollar amount for this single-source purchase is $141,000.00. The Florida Certification Board has been identified as the sole intended source, as it is the only vendor approved as a third-party credentialing entity in Florida with the infrastructure to administer the child abuse certification exam and track CPT certifications. The justification for single-source procurement is based on the vendor's unique status as the only approved credentialing entity offering the required services. The purchase was approved by Sonja German, Purchasing Director. The procurement is intended to support the Department of Health's mission to ensure a high-quality, credentialed workforce of child protection professionals who can effectively assess and evaluate cases of child abuse and neglect.
