About this file
This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) filed by the Florida Department of Health, Bureau of Public Health Laboratories (BPHL). The agency seeks to procure supplies, components, and reagents for MAC-ELISA assays, which are used to detect IgM antibodies to arboviruses, including dengue. The procurement is for a one-year term, with an estimated quantity reflecting the annual supply requirements for the testing program. The posting date was March 24, 2026, with a deadline for receipt of prospective vendor information on April 14, 2026. No specific bidder conferences, site visits, or award dates are identified in the document.
The estimated dollar amount for this single-source acquisition is $44,308.00. InBios, Inc. is identified as the intended single source vendor. The justification for single-source procurement states that MAC-ELISA tests at the BPHL have been validated exclusively with InBios components and that InBios is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the required MAC-ELISA assays, components, reagents, and supplies. The agency determined that maintaining continuity of services and compatibility with currently deployed testing instrumentation necessitates continued use of InBios products. The procurement was approved by Sonja German-Jones, Purchasing Director. Prospective vendors are invited to submit information regarding their ability to supply the described commodities; however, the agency reserves the right to proceed with the single-source contract if no viable competitive alternatives are identified.
