About this file
This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) from the Florida Department of Health (FDOH) Bureau of Environmental Public Health. The FDOH is seeking to purchase additional laboratory analysis from ABT Associates for biological and environmental samples collected during the Cyanotoxins in Air Study. The requested analyses will test for Cylindrospermopsin, BMAA, Anatoxin-a, and Saxitoxin. The single source justification is that ABT Associates performed the initial study under the direction of the Centers for Disease Control and is currently in possession of the samples requiring expanded testing. The estimated dollar amount for the single source contract is $130,689.69 for a one-year term.
The document indicates that the FDOH is requesting authorization to purchase the additional laboratory analysis from ABT Associates as a single source in accordance with Florida Administrative Code. Prospective vendors are invited to provide information regarding their ability to supply the requested services, and the FDOH will determine if the services are available from a single source after reviewing any submissions.
