About this file
This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Health (FDOH), Bureau of Public Health Laboratories (BPHL). The FDOH BPHL is seeking to purchase custom mixed and lyophilized PCR reagents compatible with the existing instrumentation system and test algorithm used by the BPHL TB section for the rapid detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) complex. The service includes custom mixing of customer-specified reagents (oligos) with PCR Master-mix components, and lyophilization in single tube snap-in reagent configuration in BD MAX position 3 tubes. The reagents must be compatible with use on the BD Max platform. The estimated dollar amount for this single source acquisition is $290,000 over a 3-year term.
BioGX is identified as the sole distributor/manufacturer of the required Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Complex SPC product, which is compatible with the BPHL's existing instrumentation and test algorithm. FDOH BPHL is requesting authorization to purchase this product as a single source in accordance with Florida Administrative Code.
