About this file

This document is Exhibit G, an Energy Policy Act of 2005 Section 179D Allocation Agreement for the Art and Humanities Building Expansion and Kopleff Recital Hall Entrance project at Georgia State University in Atlanta. The exhibit provides details about potential tax deductions related to energy-efficient commercial building property design, specifically allowing government building owners to allocate potential Section 179D deductions to the designer who creates technical specifications for energy-efficient installations.

The document requires proposers to choose between two options: either negotiate and seek Section 179D allocation from the project owner or decline to seek such allocation. The owner reserves the right to engage a third-party consultant to manage the deduction allocation process. This allocation agreement is part of a broader initiative to encourage energy-efficient design in government building projects, offering potential tax benefits to designers who meet specific energy efficiency criteria.
