About this file
Exhibit C is a requirements document for agricultural operations at Jasper-Pulaski Fish & Wildlife Area. The contractor must maintain wildlife food strips in each field by leaving 4 to 24 rows of unharvested crop as determined by the property manager. In 2028 and 2030, soybean acres in Refuge L must be planted with winter wheat at 2 bushels per acre or other approved cover crops inter-seeded into standing soybeans between September 10 and October 10. All corn acres excluding Refuges J, K, and L must be planted with annual winter rye cover crop between August 12 and November 10, with seeding rates of 45 pounds per acre for drilled seeding or 50 pounds per acre for broadcast seeding. In 2028, Area 8 SW must be dormant seeded with Spence Restoration Nursery mesic pollinator seed mix at 12 pounds per acre between November 1 and acceptable soil conditions without snow cover.
All cover crops remain in fields until the following year's planting or at the property manager's discretion and are not shared with the tenant. Bidders must submit a cash bid on the attached farmland bid sheet (State form 52753) and sign the exhibit with their name, signature, email address, and date. This exhibit must be attached to the farmland bid sheet as part of the bidding requirements.
