About this file
This Scope of Work document is for the LifeBridge Community Services Center's building upgrades and security fence project in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The project involves purchasing and installing approximately 45 sections of commercial aluminum fencing, including four-foot and six-foot high sections with eight-foot wide panels. The contractor will also install two walkway gates with security features, one electrified sliding gate at the driveway opening (minimum 21 feet long), and an exit loop in the existing driveway. Additional options include installing a keypad, remote control, or both for the driveway gate. The new fencing will be black and match the existing fence style along Clinton and Fairfield Avenues, with existing metal and wood fences to remain untouched.
The project requires the selected contractor to obtain all necessary building permits, follow state and local building codes, and maintain required insurance certificates. All work must adhere to OSHA safety standards and be completed professionally, with the worksite kept clean daily. The contractor will provide a one-year warranty on all work, equipment, materials, and labor. A mandatory preconstruction meeting will be held before work begins, and all bids will be based on Davis-Bacon wage rates. The contractor is prohibited from negotiating directly with homeowners and must route any contract changes through the Housing Community Development office.
